At 25 Kms from Fortaleza, which is only 30 minutes by car, lies the beach town Cumbuco, one of the most famous beaches of the state Ceará. Cumbuco offers many different options for visiting tourists. The town is surrounded by gorgeous Dunas and its beach is one of the most beautiful in Brazil. Nearby are many beautiful lagoons, the most famous of which is Lagoa de Cauipe which is the favorite spot of the many visiting kitesurfers.

One of the most poulair attractions is taking a buggy tour through the Dunes behind Cumbuco, its called Emotion (Emoçao) and is similar to a big rollercoaster ride. Another activity is taking a ride on a Jangada, a local fisher´s boat.The trip last about half an hour on the Atlantic Ocean. Also possible are rides on one of the many horses or donkeys over the beach and/or dunes.
